Medhufushi Island Resort is located in Meemu Atoll and is a 40-minute fly by seaplane. The island is approximately 900 meters long and 200 meters wide and has soft white sand all over the island.Medhufushi lies to the east of the Meemu-Atoll, which is 300 km south of Male. The island is 900 metres long and about 90 metres wide. There are only two tourist islands in the whole of this atoll. Medhufushi features an exceptionally beautiful lagoon whichis ideal for learning to dive in -not to mention swimming, surfing and sailing. The virtually untouched diving sites, most of them suitable even for beginners, await you with a stunning diversity of corals and tropical fish.This elongated island is surrounded by dazzling white beaches and greatest care has been taken to develop it with as little disturbance as possible to the environment. You will find plenty of welcoming shade among the untouched tropical vegetation including palm trees, rubber plants, mangroves, and scaevola trees.
Accommodation
Medhufushi offers 120 thatched wooden roof villas scattered around the island. Medhufushi consists of Beach Villas, Beach Villas Suites, Family Beach Villas, Water Villas, Water Villa Suites and 2 Exclusive Honeymoon Suites. All rooms are air-conditioned.All rooms have IDD Telephone, satellite TV, mini stereo, mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, hot and cold water. Each villa has a wooden deck on which there is a typical Maldivian swing.
