The first purpose built all-inclusive hotel in Sri Lanka which specialises in all-inclusive package selling, Club Palm Bay was ceremonially opened on September 6, 1997 by late Mr. Dharmasiri Senanayake.Located on 22 acres of lush tropical greenery, a whisper away from a bird sanctuary and eco-reserve on the West coast of Sri Lanka, is Club Palm Bay Hotel, Marawila. The hotel is not far away from a village of traditional seafarers. A vacation resort unique in its ecological setting and designed to suit all tastes, inclinations and preferences, Club Palm, Bay is a haven nestled between the deep blue ocean and an idyllic tropical lagoon. Thrill and excitement, peace and seclusion, sun drenched beaches, starlit nights, disco joy, vibrant leisure, free, you will find all this at Club Palm Bay.

Accommodation

Club Palm Bay is just off Marawila, by the beach, 33 kms north of Marawila International Airport and 65 kms from Marawila. Built on a 21 acre land, the hotel complex consists of 25 air-conditioned chalets with 104 rooms and two suites, overlooking the sandy beach, and surrounded by the lagoon.

Restaurant

The food and beverage outlets and themes include 'Kundira' Restaurant for 350 covers, 'Mangrove' Pool Bar and restaurant for casual dining (120 covers), 'Cutty Sark' all purpose restaurant and discotheque, 'Ran Thembili' Lounge Bar, Golden Palms Room for conventions, weddings and other functions with capacity for over 300 covers, Swamp mini banquet hall for small functions (30-40 covers).
All meals at the hotel are buffet style. We offer different theme nights with live entertainment to suit the occasion, Nishadha said. The 'all inclusive package' at the hotel includes breakfast buffet, morning snack and tea, lunch buffet, evening tea with snacks, dinner buffet and midnight snack, with unlimited local alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages from 10 am to 12 mid night. All available recreational facilities except floodlit tennis, bicycles, snooker and billiard and boat rides. These facilities are available at a nominal supplement, Nishadha said.
Other markets and events at Club Palm Bay include wedding packages tailor made to suit the needs of the party, flexible rates, top quality buffets etc. Day outings tailor made to suit the need of patrons. The hotel also offers 'Day Package' on Saturday and Sunday.

Facilities and Services

The hotel is also equipped with a gymnasium, table tennis squash courts, Ayurvedic health centre, medical centre, archery, pool billiard, hand foot ball, snooker and billiards, indoor games, etc.The Kid's Corner at the hotel is equipped with swings, mat slides, trampoline, bicycles, tricycles, electronic toys, battery powered vehicles etc. Recreational and other facilities include 9-hole golf course and a putting green, flood lit tennis courts, mountain bicycles, boat rides in the lagoon, paddle boats, canoeing, fishing gear, water aerobics, water polo, water volley ball, gigantic swimming pool, animation programmes etc.
