The Balé, member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is a modern resort located on a breezy hill overlooking the Indian Ocean and walking distance away from the beach. The Balé is truly original in all its aspects but specially in its design, contemporary and minimalist but yet with some Indonesian elements.
The resort is made of only 20 exclusive pavilions with private pool where the privilege guests, served by around the clock crew of discreet butlers can enjoy complete privacy in the comfort of their pavilion and pool. To ensure serenity and relaxation, the resort does not cater to children below 16 years old.
Built out of blond stone and surrounded by private gardens and fountains, The Balé feels more like a private house than a resort.

A total of 20 luxurious pavilions. Every one of the pavilions is complemented with a generously proportionate private pool, steps of which lead down from the sliding doors of the bathroom, day bed and an open-air shower.

Each individual pavilion includes a private pool (8x4 meters), garden, relaxation day bed and luxury bedroom with complete bathroom featuring an indoor and out-door shower in accented garden.

Each double pavilion consist of 2 individual pavilions, connected by a private garden and all the units have a private pool (10x4 meters), garden, relaxation day bed and luxury bedrooms with complete bathrooms featuring an indoor and outdoor shower in an accented garden.

Restaurant
Faces, our gourmet restaurant is located by the main poolside and features an open kitchen. The food offers a balanced menu with light and contemporary cuisine, thoughtfully prepared by our kitchen team led by an international Executive Chef.
The food at the Balé, described in Conde Nast Traveler as “one of Bali’s best” reflects the modern architectural style. While seemingly simple, it is rich in detail and flavor. The food is European based while influenced by Balinese and other Asian cultures.
Inspired by the philosophy of Sanctuary Resorts, our Chef chooses ingredients from a number of sources, keeping them organic wherever possible. Therefore while it is not “health food” or Spa Cuisine, the food at Faces Restaurant is lighter in execution using quality and organic ingredients.
Guests can choose from a wide selection of dishes and set menus while they can also work with the Chef in personalized meals. A casual lounge by the main poolside complements the restaurant as the perfect place for cocktails in the evenings.

For those seeking something else than the usual Spa, here at The Balé, travelers have the opportunity to rejuvenate their bodies, expand their minds and spend quality time with a partner. As part of our philosophy, the Spa provides a wide selection of treatments in well-designed treatment rooms complimented with Sauna, Steamers and whirlpool with garden and water features. A complete modern Gym is also part of the facility.
The Spa in line with the Resort is designed with water lanes that accentuate clean lines mixed with blonde Yogjastone. In order to reach the balance in spiritual dimension, we are also working on meditation, yoga and other treatments that offer physical and psychological benefits in one.
