Hotel Vila Bled is the only hotel in Bled surrounded by a magnificent 1.2 acre park on the banks of the lake. The visitors can go for a relaxing and soothing walk through the park and admire dazzling flowers and majestic trees of more than one hundred species from all over the world.
It takes only 20 minutes on foot to the centre of Bled. The villa has lost none of its original charm of exquisite style noted for luxurious marble constructions and spacious rooms. The pleasant atmosphere redolent with recent history always attracts guests to return. Among Alpine lakes Bled Lake has the longest bathing season.
When the region was a part of the Imperial Austria the Prince Windisch-Grätz built a beautiful mansion on the site of the present villa. From 1920 until the start of World War 2 the mansion served as a summer residence of the Yugoslav royal family. After war the villa was rebuilt into a presidential residence of the Marshal Tito where he hosted many important international statesmen. In 1984 the villa opened its door as Hotel Vila Bled and only a few years later it has joined to one of the most prestigious hotel association, the Relais & Châteaux.
Accommodation
Visitors of Villa Bled often return to this charming hotel, enchanted by the tranquillity of its majestic park and the breathtaking view it offers on the island and the castle. Twenty suites and ten rooms, spacious and comfortable, are elegantly furnished in the 1950s-style. All suites and rooms are equipped with all the modern conveniences. In two suites there are separate rooms suitable for holding smaller business meetings.
Restaurant
In the restaurant of Hotel Vila Bled with a summer terrace our guests are pampered with an excellent culinary offer. Flavours of exquisite dishes are refined with a wide choice of selected wines. Social functions, wedding parties, receptions, banquets and other events are regularly organized in the hotel retaurant and in two function room. Serving exquisite dishes, our proffesional and friendly staff will provide an impeccable service and ensure your event as an unforgettable one.The aperitif bar offers a wide selection of beverages, desserts and snacks, which guests can enjoy listening to live piano music.
Facilities and Services
Vila Bled has its' own rich tradition, dating from the Austro-Hungarian empire. It was also used as the summer residence of the pre-war Yugoslav royal family, then becoming the post-war holiday residence of President Josip Broz Tito, putting it at the centre of political and social events. Hotel Vila Bled gained its' reputation as the scene of important events by merit of its' pleasant historic atmosphere, far removed from the bustle of daily life, but at the same time enjoying a high standard of service.
Hotel Vila Bled boasts hosting high quality business, protocol, educational and social events. There is a large concert hall that opens out onto the terrace and a smaller conference room with an office technically equipped to accommodate business meetings and also seminars, conferences, promotions and other events.
