Accommodation
Meikles has two luxurious multistorey wings, offset to give the north-facing rooms of both wings breathtaking panoramic views of Africa Unity Square, the green, well-treed heart of the modern, bustling city of Harare. Interconnecting rooms are available in the South Wing with interleading doors to create family suites. We also have four floors of non-smoking rooms and rooms for guests with special physical needs.
Deluxe and Deluxe Park View - South Wing
Rooms are decorated in African Mahogany wood with an 'Out of Africa' look to the room. Facilities include twin or double bed, air conditioning, work areas with telephone, computer/fax modem point, TV with all the international channels, mini bar, in-room safe, bathroom with shower over the bath, hairdryer and telephone. Trouser press in all Park View Rooms.
Deluxe and Deluxe Park View - North Wing
Rooms are decorated in Canadian Maple wood and pastel colours. Facilities include twin or double bed, wardrobe, adjustable air conditioning, work area, mini bar, in-room safe, fax/computer modem point, TV with all the international channels, bathroom with separate shower and bath, hairdryer and telephone. Trouser press in all Park View Rooms.
Club and Club Park View
Specifically designed for the very important business person, on the 10th, 11th and 12th floors of the North Wing. All facilities of a Deluxe Room and in addition: personalised check-in and check-out, butler service, VIP Club guest supplies in your bedroom and bathroom, (chocolates, fruit, flowers, bathrobe), trouser press, continental or full English breakfast in the private Club Lounge on the 11th floor, late check-out (on availability), complimentary valet and shoeshine service, complimentary local telephone calls, complimentary drinks voucher and snacks in the Club Lounge in the evening, international newspapers, magazines, books and fax machine in the Club Lounge.
Park Suite - South Wing
Located in the newly refurbished south wing of the hotel overlooking Africa Unity Square Gardens with a lounge, bedroom, dressing area and bathroom. This suite is decorated in darker woods and colours and has a more classical, 'Out of Africa' feel. These suites have mini bars, in-room safe, fax/computer modem point, trouser press, air conditioning, TV in lounge and bedroom, flowers, chocolates, fruit, bathrobe in bathroom, welcome gift from the Chef Executive, complimentary valet and shoeshine service.
Park Suite - North Wing
Located in the North Wing of the hotel, overlooking Africa Unity Square Gardens. These suites are tastefully decorated in pastel colours. Facilities and services are the same as the south wing suites except these suites all have a balcony.
Honeymoon Suite
All the same facilities as the Park Suite except no lounge. Four poster double bed. Champagne.
Imperial Suite
Located on the club floors in the North Wind, overlooking Africa Unity Square. Decorated in tasteful pastel colours, these suites comprise of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 balconies, lounge, dining room and 2 separate entrance ways. Other facilities and services are the same as the Park Suites.

La Fontaine Restaurant and Can Can Bar

The elegant La Fontaine, its huge windows overlooking the fountains of Africa Unity Square, is Meikles' oldest restaurant. La Fontaine is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the resident band turning each evening into a dinner dance. The day begins with a full English and Continental breakfast. A new Savoy-style grillroom menu at La Fontaine, blends well-loved grillroom classics with entirely new dishes that combine unusual but delightful flavours and textures in a heady mix of the familiar and the exotic. The La Fontaine menu is a journey of discovery in flavour and ingredients in a sublime setting. The adjoining Can Can bar gives our guests a secluded and sophisticated place for a drink before lunch or dinner. Dress - smart casual.
The Pavilion Restaurant

Dining inside and out.
The recently-refurbished Pavilion Buffet Restaurant and Coffee Bar offers an exceptionally wide range of dishes from 1030hrs to 2200hrs in a casual and cheerful, yet exclusive setting. At 1230hrs, the chefs roll out a magnificent laden buffet that stretches generously from rolls with soups, pasta, stir fry, roasts, casseroles to cheeseboard, ice cream and desserts. The adjoining coffee bar offers eight imported or Zimbabwean coffees served in individual "cafetiéres" and an absolutely mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries. Light meals, bagels and snacks are served from 1030hrs until the Pavilion closes. Dress - casual.
The Explorer's Club
Open daily in a pub atmosphere for meetings and a relaxing beer.
Daily carvery and light meals menu.
If you want to meet locals, the `Explorers' is the place to be. Many of Harare's most interesting people gather in this popular and themed `Out of Africa' Bar and they take great pleasure in enjoying drinks and snacks while sharing ideas and thoughts with guests at Meikles. The Explorers' has a warm and welcoming safari atmosphere, with game trophies and historical prints on the walls, period cane furnishings and waiters in pith helmets.
The Pool Desk
Daily light snacks and refreshing cocktails
You can swim with the eagles on the Meikles Pool Deck, high above the busy city. You can do much more than swim - the pool deck houses the hotel's fitness centre and sauna as well as the resident beautician, while a bar and snack menu helps you relax in a sunny holiday setting.
